HOW DOES THE REMOTE SERVICE WITH A TECHNICIAN
AT THE VENUE WORK
WE SEND THE SIGNAL TO OUR HUB
In this case, we contemplate a remote technical service with the displacement of a technician to the venue of the event. Our on-site technician will coordinate with another of our technicians at our offices.
INTERPRETERS
The interpreters will work from our facilities, where they will have technical assistance at all times and where they have all the necessary equipment to do their work in the best conditions.
INTERPRETING BROADCASTING
Attendees can listen to the interpretation through our mobile app, web app or through receivers. We can also integrate the interpretation into the client’s platform or streaming.
TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS
-
- Broadband internet connection with Ethernet cable with at least 20MB upload and download. No wifi.
- Connection to the meeting room sound with a XLR, jack o RCA cable.
- We also need a table and chair for the technician to set up the equipment.
+ How is this different from the fully remote system?
In this service, an Olyusei technician travels to the site of the event and is responsible for sending the signal to the hub, where another technician will be to coordinate the connection. Olyusei’s technical team is in charge of managing the entire service.
+ Can I use receivers/transmitters?
Yes, our on-site technician will be responsible for setting up the languages on the receivers.
+ Can I use a receiver and the app at the same time?
Yes, Olyusei’s system makes it possible to use various solutions at the same time: receivers, the Olyusei app, embedding in the event app, streaming, webinar/video conferencing platform.
+ How can I minimise the cost of the simultaneous interpreting service?
For large events, we recommend using the Olyusei app and having receivers/transmitters for VIPs and speakers, for example. The cost is also reduced when no booths need setting up.
+ Is there anything I should bear in mind for this kind of service?
Yes, we require wired Ethernet connection for the internet (not Wi-Fi) to send the image and sound signal to the interpreters in the booths at the hub. We require a minimum bandwidth of 20 Mbps with symmetrical connectivity.
+ How do I inform attendees about using the app?
We always send a poster with QR codes for downloading the app for iOS and Android, as well as the individual codes for accessing the interpreting channels. The poster reminds participants to bring their headphones.
On event days, the poster can be projected at the start of meetings, banners can be displayed and/or reminders can be sent out prior to the event.
+ What if somebody forgets their headphones?
Olyusei can provide complimentary headphones (mini jack), as well as iPhone and Android type C adapters. Ask us for information.
